Corpus Christi native Javi Luna has been performing stand-up comedy professionally across much of the United States for over a decade now; gathering a loyal following both at home and nationwide. While working alongside some of the biggest names in comedy he has also fostered friendships with many other hardworking comics like himself. These are comics that are known for not only being certified beasts on stage but also savvy promoters/producers off stage. These comedians manage to stay in the game despite perhaps lacking celebrity. Joke Pushers is Javi’s way of presenting these raw, real, and unrecognized talents to his hometown audience in a no-holds barred stand-up show. It’s something for the city and something you’ll never forget.
Joke Pushers Vol 1 is to be headlined by Jesus “Midnite” Castillo. Midnite is a powerhouse comedian from Oak Cliff Dallas, TX. His comedy is a high-energy ride that walks the line between silly and insightful from one moment to the next. Midnite co-starred in an independent film “Dirty Horchata” with Chingo Bling and can be seen on Netflix’s “Chingo Bling: They Can’t Deport Us All.” Midnite and Javi have worked together opening for Chingo Bling for the last 6 years as well as on multiple other projects.
